I think we have a type of dramas we like… These three share the same extension of relationship beyond the main couple. With TK2H we have jaeha’s position as a king and his relationship with his mother, his sister, and eun shi kyung. While in reply1997 we have the ever supportive group of friends.
The easiest way to do that is to stay close and oh! Ki-tae’s clinic is doing poorly and it’s already been established that her dad has wanted Ki-tae to work for him. I agree with your comments on Yeo-reum, not so much on Se-ah’s. I think she has finally come to terms that she can’t coerce Ki-tae away from Jang-mi but that doesn’t mean (to me) that she’s back to being a supportive friend.
While they talk, Ki-tae accidentally finds the envelope of postcards from Dad and swipes them. Mom gripes at him for being a tattletale, tells him that she’ll never accept him and Jang-mi, and kicks them both out. Ki-tae suggests they go see her father, since they now have his address.
She cries that she has to see the person she wants to see and say the things she wants to say—it may be messy, but that’s the right thing to do. It leaves Jang-mi mortified, but she stands her ground and retorts that the bastard is hiding behind friends and his mother, all because he can’t break up with her in person. Ki-tae arrives to apologize about the blind date, and happens to witness another of Jang-mi’s heart-crushing moments. Poor thing finally hears the truth and a tear rolls down her cheek.
I was a bit disappointed with his moment of selfishness in front of Ki-tae’s mom… I’ve forgiven the character because his actions since have gone back to the cool, easy-going person I like so much and he seems remorseful enough to help the couple away from their stupidity. Also I don’t think they necessarily ran out of things to say, but that they simply had to make it through that awkward friends-to-lovers transition. When you think about it, they’ve never really gone through the «how do I impress this person» stage because they moved directly to the «I can be myself around this person» stage as soon as they met.
Taste Of Love (
But in the end, I’m glad several characters were able to find light at the end of those dark tunnels. I’m also not a fan of amnesia plot points but it’s pretty well-done here. He is phenomenal here and displays some serious range. If you look at his old life (as Baek Hee Song) the things he did or said was to make people love him or to make them view him in a certain light.
I’ll talk about dramas if I want to
The fake dating antics (rachel and samantha lmao) were pretty fun, and I loved the friendship dynamic between the FLs. Such behavior would fit «drama in drama» perfect! Like leads had the same line as characters of drama https://loveexamined.net/ he watched… Coming into the show I have no idea what to expect. I only started to watch this show because I am a huge fan of Sung Hoon. After finishing the 2 episodes, this is giving me a «World of Married» vibe.
It was ok overall but honestly, the first half was waaay stronger than the second half. By the time the last episode rolled around, I was glad to be done with the series. The main attraction pf this drama is the character itself instead of the plot. Honestly the plot is cliche in the long run, like you’d definitely expect the ending like that. But anyways, even if it’s cliche, the characters make it interesting. It could be budget and scheduling problems especially because of covid but it’s also due to the way that dramas are filmed.
They are such good accompaniment. You should check out «Killer K» from a few years ago. Han Groo is awesome, but in a totally different, Tarantino heroine kind of way.
Especially in the context of Korean family values. I would’ve liked to have seen Jang Mi and Ki Tae’s Mom enjoying a newfound bond with one another on this ep. (because I was even more invested in their relationship than in the OTP’s, and just wanted that well-earned pay-off), but I’m satisfied knowing that they’re ready to enjoy that bond now. Their affection for each other is real and palpable and not just for show. Lastly, for those who may miss watching Yeon Woo Jin Last night I watched episode 1 of Kara’s Secret Love, Missing You. On a totally different note, Yeon Woo Jin has officially switched from a reason for me NOT to watch a drama to a reason FOR me to watch a drama.
Favorite Drama Recaps
She drops the bomb that the bar’s cook is Yeo-reum, but assures Ki-tae that they’re totally fine working together, no feelings whatsoever. She says that they’re in a cool relationship anyway, but Ki-tae protests that he didn’t know “cool” meant this. Jang-mi says that she’s okay with him being friends with Se-ah, so he should be okay with her working with Yeo-reum, and he can’t argue with her logic. Personally I love contract marriages, I’ve seen both male leads in a drama each, I haven’t seen the female lead anywhere, but I’ll watch it anyway. What I’m saying is, seeing them together is as wierd as seeing Lee Min-ho playing a high schooler, then a recognized architech, then a 28 yo with a PhD, then back to being a high schooler again. It’s interesting to note that both Gi Tae and Jang Mi comes from families that don’t have a history of the most ideal marriages.
